KCSE applicants
The basic admission requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the public universities, which is at least an average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
In addition, applicants are expected to have obtained at least a grade C+ in each of the cluster subjects in following cluster of subjects in KCSE examinations:
Cluster Subjects
1. Mathematics
2. Physics
3. Second Group I
4. Second Group II or any Group III
5. Any Group III/any Group IV/any Group V.

At Least a Second Honors (Upper Division) degree of TU-K in the relevant field or equivalent from a university recognized by the Senate of TUK OR
At Least a Second Class Honors (Lower Division) degree of TU-K or equivalent from a university recognized by the Senate of TU-K; with either at least two (2) years of relevant experience OR relevant Postgraduate Diploma
